On Saturday, Blackburn Rovers suffer an away defeat to QPR at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. Both teams arrived on the back of wins. Queens Park Rangers were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run after winning last match. Blackburn Rovers were coming from consecutive wins against Luton Town and Middlesbrough. After today’s result, Queens Park Rangers and Blackburn Rovers are 19th, (30 points) and 8th, (39 points), in the league respectively, after 28 matches.

After a goalless first half, Queens Park Rangers staged a comeback in the second half, following Yoann Barbet opening the scoring in the 54th minute. They managed to see the game out with a clean sheet and a final score of 1-0.

For Queens Park Rangers Macauley Bonne, Faysal Bettache and Albert Adomah came on for Charlie Austin, Stefan Johansen and Lyndon Dykes, while Blackburn Rovers replaced Ryan Nyambe, Jacob Davenport, Joe Rothwell, Sam Gallagher and Lewis Holtby for Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Lewis Holtby, Bradley Dack, Tyrhys Dolan and Ben Brereton.

There were bookings for Charlie Austin, Dominic Ball and Albert Adomah from QPR and Jacob Davenport and Sam Gallagher for Blackburn Rovers.

Queens Park Rangers will next travel to Rotherham United, while Blackburn Rovers will face Preston North End at home.
