Swansea beat Nottingham Forest with a thumping 1-0 victory on Wednesday at Liberty Stadium. Swansea City were looking to continue their run after winning their previous two matches in the league. The most recent was against the Norwich City at home (2-0), the other to Rotherham United away (3-1). Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Bournemouth. As it stands, Swansea City are in 3rd place, with 56 points from 30 matches, while Nottingham Forest sit in 18th, with 33 points from 30.

After a goalless first half, Swansea City continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, beginning with Connor Roberts opening the scoring just before the final whistle, which sealed the victory for Swansea City.

Swansea City brought on Jordan Morris, Paul Arriola and Korey Smith for Kyle Naughton, Jamal Lowe and Conor Hourihane. Nottingham Forest brought on Glenn Murray, Lyle Taylor and Alexander Mighten, to replace Lewis Grabban, Filip Krovinovic and Anthony Knockaert.

The referee booked Ryan Bennett for Swansea City.

Swansea City will next travel to Huddersfield Town, while Nottingham Forest will face Blackburn Rovers at home.
