Swansea enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Stoke City at Bet365 Stadium on Wednesday. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Stoke City arrived at the game looking pick up points after losing 2-1 to Brentford in their last match. Swansea City were beaten 3-1 in the previous match against Bristol City. Stoke City started the game well, following a goal from Nick Powell after only 7 minutes. However, they didn’t maintain the lead for long though, an equalizer from a Connor Roberts, 19 minutes in brought Swansea City level, thereby seeing the first half to a 1-1.
Swansea City continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Andre Ayew just before the final whistle, which sealed the victory for the visitors.
