Cremonese defeat Vicenza 1-0 on Sunday at Stadio Romeo Menti. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. VIC were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to SPAL while USC were beaten 3-0 in the previous match against Perugia. As it stands, VIC and USC currently occupy 20th and 3rd spots in the table, with 0 points and 12 points respectively after 6 matches.

USC started the first half well, thanks to a goal from Ciofani just before half-time. The score at half time was 0-1. The second 45 minutes ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For VIC, Crecco, Dalmonte, Giacomelli and Brosco, came on for Rigoni, Meggiorini, Proia and Di Pardo. USC brought on Sarr, Baez, Deli, Luca Valzania and Vido for Carnesecchi, Gaetano, Zanimacchia, Buonaiuto and Fagioli.

The referee booked eleven players. Calderoni, Diaw, Proia, Pasini, Giacomelli, Dalmonte and Brosco from VIC, who saw yellow cards and Calderoni (2 yellow cards), sent off with a red, as well as for USC Zanimacchia, Caleb Okoli and Luca Valzania also seeing yellows.

VIC will next play Pordenone away, with USC facing Ternana Calcio at home.
