Ternana enjoyed a mesmerising home victory against SPAL at Stadio Libero Liberati on Sunday. Both Ternana and SPAL arrived on the back of wins. Ternana were looking to pick up points, following a 3-1 victory against Parma. SPAL were able to continue their winning streak after a 3-2 win against Vicenza in their last match. At the moment, both teams are on 7 points and sit in 15th and 14th places respectively after 6 matches.

It was an impressive opening from Ternana, thanks to a goal from Martella at the 26 minute mark, ending the first half 1-0. The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For Ternana, Pettinari, Ilias Koutsoupias, Falletti, Boben and Palumbo, came on for Donnarumma, Paghera, Partipilo, Sørensen and Agazzi. SPAL replaced Crociata, Demba Seck, Raffaele Celia, Colombo and Viviani for Melchiorri, D’orazio, Coccolo, Latte Lath and Jacopo Da Riva.

There were bookings for Paghera, Sørensen, Ilias Koutsoupias and Iannarilli from Ternana. For SPAL, Raffaele Celia saw yellow.

Ternana will play away against Cremonese, while SPAL will face Parma at home.
