SPAL were held to 2-2 draw by Parma down on Saturday at Stadio Paolo Mazza. SPAL were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to Ternana Calcio. Parma, on the other hand, are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As the table looks today, SPAL and Parma currently occupy 14th and 12th spots in the table, with 8 points and 9 points respectively after 7 matches.

It was an impressive opening from The Crusaders, thanks to Tutino giving Parma the lead in the 27th minute. The score at half time was 0-1.

Parma took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Vázquez at the 68 minute mark. However, SPAL weren’t lying down and managed to pull back a goal from Viviani, 82 minutes in. However they weren’t finished yet and Colombo made it 2-2 just before the final whistle with a final score of 2-2.

For SPAL, Demba Seck, Raffaele Celia and Ellertsson, came on for Crociata, Tripaldelli and Latte Lath. Parma brought on Busi, Sohm, Inglese, Bonny and Correia, to replace Jurić, Mihăilă, Tutino, Brunetta and Coulibaly.

The referee booked Viviani, Tripaldelli, Latte Lath and Esposito from SPAL. Parma had the worst of it though, with Coulibaly, Schiattarella and Sohm seeing yellow, and Vázquez then sent off with a red.

SPAL will play away against Cittadella, while Parma will face AC Monza at home.
