SPAL were defeated at home by Frosinone at Stadio Paolo Mazza on Tuesday. SPAL were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 3-1 to Brecia Calcio. FRO were coming off the back of a 3-1 win against Pisa. As the table looks today, SPAL are currently 9th with 50 points from 36 matches, while FRO sit in 11th, with 46 points from 36.

Following a goalless first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on FRO who started the second half well, thanks to an early penalty goal from Novakovich in the 50th minute and seeing the game end 1-0.

For SPAL, Paloschi, Asencio, Segre and Sala, came on for Floccari, Tomovic, Mora and Sernicola. FRO brought on Tribuzzi, Kastanos, Gori, Iemmello and Ciano, to replace Ariaudo, Vitale, Rohden, Novakovich and Parzyszek.

There were bookings for Sernicola, Caleb Okoli and Mora from SPAL. For FRO, Zampano, Gori and Kastanos saw yellow.

SPAL will next play Reggiana away, with FRO facing Vicenza at home.
