REG enjoyed a mesmerising home victory against Reggiana at Stadio Oreste Granillo on Saturday. REG were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Reggiana, on the other hand, lost 1-0 in the last match they played against Empoli. After today’s result, REG are in 13th place, with 47 points from 34 matches, while Reggiana sit in 4th, with 31 points from 34.

REG started the first half well, with an early goal from Montalto in the 5th minute. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Kargbo equalised for Reggiana just before half-time, which saw the first half end 1-1.

REG rallied after this and were rewarded, thanks to Rigoberto finding the net just before the final whistle. The game ended 2-1.

For REG, Rigoberto, Denis, Liotti, Crimi and Stavropoulos, came on for Edera, Montalto, Folorunsho, Bianchi and Loiacono. Reggiana brought on Radrezza, Ardemagni, Espeche and Lunetta, to replace Laribi, Rossi, Muratore and Varone.

The referee booked Montalto for REG.

REG will next travel to Cremonese, while Reggiana will face Pordenone at home.
