Salernitana enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against POR on Tuesday. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. POR arrived at the game looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Reggiana. Salernitana, on the other hand, lost 3-1 in the last match they played against AC Monza. As the table looks today, POR and Salernitana are 15th, (41 points) and 2nd, (63 points), in the table respectively, after 36 matches.

It was an impressive opening from Salernitana, thanks to a goal from Gondo early in the first half, finalising the first half 0-1.

POR took the initiative in the second half, with Misuraca finding the net at the 69 minute mark. Salernitana in turn, then responded just before the final whistle increasing their lead with an effort from Tutino, leaving the final score at 2-1.

For POR, Musiolik, Misuraca, Magnino and Berra, came on for Mallamo, Scavone, Butic and Zammarini. Salernitana brought on Cicerelli, Coulibaly, Tutino, André Anderson and Kristoffersen, to replace Djuric, Capezzi, Kiyine, Kupisz and Gondo.

There were bookings for Camporese and Magnino from POR, and Kiyine, Casasola, Belec and André Anderson, for Salernitana.

POR will next travel to Venezia, while Salernitana will face Empoli at home.
