USC 2 – Ternana 0: Visitors unable to get win at Stadio Giovanni Zini

Cremonese snatched all three points from Ternana Calcio in a 2-0 victory on Saturday, at Stadio Giovanni Zini. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. USC were looking to pick up points, following a 1-0 victory against Vicenza while Ternana were coming from consecutive wins against SPAL and Parma. As the table looks today, USC are in 2nd place on the table and has 15 points while Ternana sit in 15th with 7 points after 7 matches.

USC found the net first, with Zanimacchia giving USC the lead just before half-time

USC continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Di Carmine finding the net, 73 minutes in, leaving the final score at 2-0.

For USC, Luca Valzania, Di Carmine, Baez, Deli and Crescenzi, came on for Bartolomei, Vido, Buonaiuto, Zanimacchia and Fagioli. Ternana brought on Celli, Capone, Defendi, Mazzocchi and Peralta, to replace Martella, Proietti, Ghiringhelli, Partipilo and Pettinari.

There were bookings for Fagioli and Gaetano from USC, and Proietti and Capuano, for Ternana.

USC will play at home against Benevento, while Ternana will face Pordenone away.
