Blackpool 0 – Cardiff 2: Visitors secure points with win at Bloomfield Road

Cardiff City defeat Blackpool 2-0 on Saturday at Bloomfield Road. Both Blackpool and Cardiff arrived at the match from previous defeats in the league. Blackpool were looking to get back their winning ways after losing their last game 2-1 to Millwall. Cardiff, on the other hand, were beaten 2-1 in the previous match against Bristol City. As the table looks today, Blackpool are in 22nd place on the table and has 2 points while Cardiff sit in 9th with 8 points after 2 matches.

After an un-eventful first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on The Bluebirds who started the second half well, thanks to Leandro Bacuna giving Cardiff the lead at the 52 minute mark. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Kieffer Moore just before the final whistle with a final score of 2-0.

For Blackpool, Josh Bowler and Shayne Lavery, came on for CJ Hamilton and Tyreece John-Jules. Cardiff brought on Kieffer Moore and Will Vaulks, to replace James Collins and Joe Ralls.

There were bookings for James Husband from Blackpool, and Joel Bagan, for Cardiff.
