Spezia 1 – Milan 2: Rossoneri travel to Dino Manuzzi and get victory

AC Milan snatched all three points from Spezia Calcio in a 2-1 victory on Saturday, at Dino Manuzzi. Spezia were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to Juventus. Milan, on the other hand, were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-0 victory against Venezia. As things stand, Spezia are in 17th place, with 4 points from 6 matches, while Milan sit in 1st, with 16 points from 6.

Following a goalless first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on Milan who started the second half well, with an early goal from Daniel Maldini in the 48th minute. However, the good fortune didn’t last for long. An equalizer from Daniele Verde at the 80 minute mark brought Spezia level. In the end though, Rossoneri just before the final whistle took the victory via a Brahim Diaz goal. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 2-1 to Milan.

For Spezia, Daniele Verde, Salva Ferrer, Rey Manaj and David Strelec, came on for Jacopo Sala, Giulio Maggiore, Janis Antiste and Emmanuel Gyasi. Milan brought on Rafael Leao, Pietro Pellegri, Ismael Bennacer, Davide Calabria and Brahim Diaz, to replace Ante Rebic, Olivier Giroud, Daniel Maldini, Pierre Kalulu and Franck Kessie.

There were bookings for Jacopo Sala and Dimitrios Nikolaou from Spezia. For Milan, Daniel Maldini and Theo Hernandez saw yellow.

Next up, Spezia are away to Hellas Verona, whilst Milan will travel to face Atalanta.
