Milan snatched all three points from Roma in a 2-1 victory on Sunday, at Stadio Olimpico. Roma were looking for a victory after a scoreless draw against Benevento in their previous match. AC Milan, on the other hand, lost 3-0 in the last match they played against Internazionale. Following today’s result, Roma are in 5th place, with 44 points from 24 matches, while AC Milan sit in 2nd, with 52 points from 24.

AC Milan started the first half well, beginning with a goal from Franck Kessie just before half-time to see out the first half 1-0.

Roma started the second half on an intensified spirit, following early goal from Jordan Veretout in the 50th minute. AC Milan took the lead thanks to a goal from Ante Rebic, 58 minutes in to establish the 2-1, sealing a resounding 2-1 victory for the away side.

For Roma, Bruno Peres, Stephan El Shaarawy, Amadou Diawara and Pedro came on for Hakan Calhanoglu, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ante Rebic, Alexis Saelemaekers and Sandro Tonali, while Milan replaced Brahim Diaz, Rafael Leao, Rade Krunic, Samu Castillejo and Soualiho Meite with Hakan Calhanoglu, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ante Rebic, Alexis Saelemaekers and Sandro Tonali.

There were bookings for Federico Fazio, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Lorenzo Pellegrini from Roma and Alexis Saelemaekers, Davide Calabria and Samu Castillejo for Milan.

Roma will next travel to Fiorentina, while AC Milan will face Udinese at home.
