Lazio enjoyed a mesmerising home victory against Parma at the Stadio Olympico on Wednesday. Both Lazio and Parma came from defeats in their previous league games. Lazio were looking to get back winning ways after losing their last game 2-0 to Fiorentina. Parma, on the other hand, lost 5-2 in the last match they played against Atalanta. After today’s result, Lazio and Parma currently occupy 6th and 19th spots in the league, with 67 points and 20 points respectively after 36 matches.

After an un-eventful first half, Lazio piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Ciro Immobile finding the net just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 1-0.

For Lazio, Gonzalo Escalante, Joaquin Correa, Luiz Felipe, Jean Akpa and Felipe Caicedo, came on for Danilo Cataldi, Vedat Muriqi, Stefan Radu, Marco Parolo and Patric. Parma brought on Vincent Laurini, Andreas Cornelius, Yordan Osorio, Alberto Grassi and Chaka Traore, to replace Riccardo Gagliolo, Graziano Pelle, Mattia Bani, Simon Sohm and Juan Brunetta.

There were bookings for Francesco Acerbi from Lazio, and Juan Brunetta, Riccardo Gagliolo and Hernani, for Parma.

Lazio will next play Roma away, with Parma facing Sassuolo at home.
