Inter enjoyed a mesmerising home victory against Genoa at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday. Internazionale were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games against AC Milan away and Lazio at home, by 3-0 and 3-1 respectively. Genoa secured a point against Hellas Verona in their previous match. At the moment, Internazionale and Genoa currently occupy 1st and 13th spots in the league, with 56 points and 26 points respectively after 24 matches.
Internazionale started the game well, with early goal from Romelu Lukaku in the 1st minute, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.
Internazionale continued to apply pressure the second half and were rewarded, with Matteo Darmian opening the scoring, 69 minutes in. Later, Internazionale scored again and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Alexis Sanchez, 77 minutes in. The game ended with a 3-0 victory for Internazionale.
