Napoli snatched all three points from Parma in a 2-0 victory on Sunday, at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Both Napoli and Parma arrived at the match from previous defeats in the league. Napoli were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 3-1 to Hellas Verona. Parma lost 2-0 in the last match they played against Sampdoria. After today’s result, Napoli are in 4th place, with 37 points from 20 matches, while Parma sit in 19th, with 13 points from 20.

Napoli started strong and were rewarded, following a goal from Eljif Elmas in the 32nd minute, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.

Napoli continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, beginning with Matteo Politano opening the scoring in minute 82. They managed to see the game out with a clean sheet and a final score of 2-0.

For Napoli Matteo Politano, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Elseid Hysaj and Nikola Maksimovic came on for Andrea Petagna, Piotr Zielinski, Mario Rui and Eljif Elmas, while Parma replaced Hernani, Maxime Busi, Dennis Man and Wylan Cyprien with Alberto Grassi, Giuseppe Pezzella, Gaston Brugman and Jasmin Kurtic.

There were bookings for Diego Demme and Eljif Elmas from Napoli and Riccardo Gagliolo, Giuseppe Pezzella, Andrea Conti and Gaston Brugman for Parma.

Napoli will next travel to Genoa, while Parma will face Bologna at home.
