Crotone beat Hellas Verona with a thumping 2-1 victory on Thursday at Stadio Ezio Scida. Crotone were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to Roma. Verona, on the other hand, are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. After today’s result, Crotone are in 19th place on the table and has 21 points while Verona sit in 10th with 43 points after 36 matches.

Crotone started the first half well, with an early goal from Adam Ounas in the 2nd minute, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.

Crotone continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Junior Messias at the 75 minute mark. The Yellow and Blues in turn, then responded just before the final whistle increasing their lead with an effort from Salvatore Molina. The game ended with a 2-1 win for Crotone.

For Crotone, Giuseppe Cuomo, Niccolo Zanellato and Jacopo Petriccione, came on for Pedro Pereira, Luca Cigarini and Adam Ounas. Verona replaced Davide Faraoni, Eddie Salcedo, Federico Dimarco, Kevin Lasagna and Ebrima Colley with Pawel Dawidowicz, Adrien Tameze, Federico Ceccherini, Mattia Zaccagni and Kevin Ruegg.

There were bookings for Lisandro Magallan, Luca Marrone and Pedro Pereira from Crotone. For Verona, Adrien Tameze saw yellow.

Crotone will next travel to Benevento, while Verona will face Bologna at home.
