On Wednesday, Cagliari and Fiorentina were held to a 0-0 draw at the Sardegna Arena. Both sides arrived fresh from some positive results. Cagliari were looking to pick up points, following a 3-1 victory against Benevento. Fiorentina were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-0 victory against Lazio. As the table looks today, Cagliari and Fiorentina sit 15th, (36 points) and 13th, (39 points), in the table respectively, after 36 matches.

For Cagliari, Andrea Carboni, Alessandro Deiola and Alberto Cerri, came on for Gabriele Zappa, Razvan Marin and Babis Lykogiannis. Fiorentina brought on Pietro Terracciano, Gaetano Castrovilli, Jose Callejon and Lorenzo Venuti, to replace Bartlomiej Dragowski, Christian Kouame, Giacomo Bonaventura and Martin Caceres.

There were bookings for Babis Lykogiannis from Cagliari, and Erick Pulgar and Martin Caceres, for Fiorentina.

Cagliari will next travel to AC Milan, while Fiorentina will face Napoli at home.
