During last season, Cagliari reached the 16th position in the standings after a hard year. For this season, they will have to make an extra effort if they want to be on top of the Serie A.

In spite of the fact that last year the team survived with a negative record of 59 – 43, now it’s time to learn from their mistakes and try to make a good season.

Injury and illness have depleted Leonardo Semplici’s Cagliari and they will likely be missing one key personnel for Monday’s match.

A new season begins for Spezia; they must improve their game to be on top of the standings

During last year, Spezia reached the 15th position in the standings after a hard year. Regarding this season, players must train hard and play every game as if it is their last to survive in the Serie A.

With risky numbers put in last year, the team managed to finish the season with more goals conceded (72) than scored (52), but this is the right time to start over with a clean slate, as they have a full season ahead.

Spezia’s squad has depth, but even so, Thiago Motta is likely to be missing two of they key players when they start Monday’s game.
