Milan started the game well, with Sandro Tonali opening the rout in the 12th minute. However, they were unable to maintain their lead, Alessandro Deiola managed to equalize and take the sides off, 15 minutes in at 1-1. However, each side looked hungry to win and Rossoneri then found the back of the net in the 17th minute thanks to Rafael Leao, taking the score to 2-1. Milan looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Olivier Giroud at the 24 minute mark to establish a 3-1. However they weren’t finished yet and Olivier Giroud made it 4-1 just before half-time. The first half ended 4-1. The second part ended with little further action at either end and goalless.
