Serie A action on Sunday as Milan and Lazio meet at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza – 6:00pm GMT.

Both Milan and Lazio currently share Champion’s League qualification hopes, as they sit fourth and first in the League, respectively.

AC Milan face their opponents, equal on points, both teams will doubtless be keen to make progress

Following two straight wins for Milan in their most recent games, they will be keen to continue that form going into this fixture.

With fourth, they currently sit six points in the League having won two fixtures.

When Milan host Lazio, they will do so on the back of one win on their own ground.

A win in this fixture would take AC Milan’s points to 9 in the League.

A solid defensive team

It’s an easy statement to make, but to win you simply have to score more goals than your opponent. Milan have been consistently applying this principle, whilst remaining defensively solid as a unit this season, with one goal in their previous matches. Milan are currently one of the best goal scoring teams in the Serie A, having so far netted five (4 from open play and one penalty). This season, their stand-out attacking players have been Olivier Giroud (2), Sandro Tonali (1), and Brahim Diaz (1).

It is likely that two key players will miss Sunday’s fixture, which is something of a concern for Stefano Pioli and his Milan team.

Lazio will seek to retain their position at the top of the table, this game is no exception

Maurizio Sarri will hope that success brings further success, as his side look for another win in a row. Their last two outings resulted in victories against Spezia Calcio and Empoli.

With six points, they currently sit top of the League having won two meetings.

Lazio have won one game of their one League matches away from home this season.

Lazio will want to keep the pressure on their rivals as they sit at the top of the table, a win will take them to 9 points and keep their momentum going forward.

Going into Sunday’s game, Maurizio Sarri without one of his players, due to illness or injury.
