Reading’s 1-0 win over Rotherham on Saturday, was hard fought at the Aesseal New York Stadium. Both Rotherham United and Reading came from defeats in their previous league games. Rotherham United were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 1-0 to Nottingham Forest. Reading, on the other hand, lost 1-0 in the last match they played against Wycombe Wanderers. As it stands, Rotherham United are in 22nd place on the table and has 29 points while Reading sit in 5th with 54 points after 33 matches.

The first half of the game started favourably for Reading, thanks to a goal from Michael Morrison in the 25th minute and managed to see out the first half 1-0. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 1-0 at full time.

As for substitutions, for Rotherham, Ben Wiles, Kieran Sadlier and Trevor Clarke came on for Clark Robertson, Shaun MacDonald and Ryan Giles, while Reading replaced Tom McIntyre, Tomas Esteves and Tom Holmes with Ovie Ejaria, Andy Rinomhota and Michael Olise.

The referee booked Angus MacDonald and Ben Wiles for Rotherham United.

Rotherham United will next travel to Sheffield Wednesday, while Reading will face Blackburn Rovers at home.
