Sevilla’s 3-2 win over Real on Saturday, was hard fought at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. Sevilla wanted to improve their league standing after a 1-1 draw against Real Betis. Real Sociedad, on the other hand, were beaten 2-1 in the previous match against Barcelona. As it stands, both teams are on 30 points and sit in 5th and 5th places respectively after 18 matches.

Sevilla dominated the first half, beginning with early goal from Youssef En-Nesyri in the 4th minute. However, they didn’t maintain the lead for long though, an equalizer from a goal from Diego Carlos in minute 5 brought Real Sociedad level. Sevilla took the lead thanks to another goal from Youssef En-Nesyri in minute 7 to establish the 2-1. However, the good form didn’t last for long. An equalizer from a goal from Alexander Isak, 14 minutes in brought Real Sociedad level. Sevilla reestablished their lead thanks to a new goal from Youssef En-Nesyri, completing a hat trick in the 46th minute just before half-time to establish the 3-2, finalising the first half with a 3-2. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 3-2.

For Sevilla, Aleix Vidal, Munir El Haddadi, Oscar, Luuk De Jong and Franco Vazquez came on for Modibo Sagnan, Jon Guridi, Mikel Oyarzabal and Portu, while Real brought on Robin Le Normand, Ander Barrenetxea, Roberto Lopez and Adnan Januzaj to replace Modibo Sagnan, Jon Guridi, Mikel Oyarzabal and Portu.
