West Ham United travel to secure all 3 points in 3-1 victory against Aston Villa

West Ham beat Villa with a thumping 3-1 victory on Wednesday at Villa Park. Aston Villa had been hopeful of continuing their run, following a 1-0 victory against Southampton. West Ham United, on the other hand, were beaten 3-1 in the previous match against Liverpool. As the table looks today, Aston Villa and West Ham United currently occupy 9th and 5th spots in the table, with 32 points and 38 points respectively after 22 matches.

After an uneventful first half, The second half started all good for West Ham United, with Tomas Soucek opening the scoring in the 51st minute. Later, West Ham United scored again thanks to a goal from Jesse Lingard in the 56th minute to establish the 2-0. However, Aston Villa pull-back, 81 minutes in, with a goal from Ollie Watkins. However, West Ham United, 83 minutes in increased their lead thanks to a new goal from Jesse Lingard, scoring his second goal. The game ended with a 3-1 victory for West Ham United.

Both managers the full entitlement. For Aston Villa Bertrand Traore, Trezeguet and Morgan Sanson came on for Anwar El Ghazi, Ross Barkley and Douglas Luiz, while West Ham brought on Pablo Fornals, Ben Johnson and Jarrod Bowen to replace Ryan Fredericks, Said Benrahma and Jesse Lingard.

There were bookings for Douglas Luiz from Villa and Aaron Cresswell for West Ham.

Aston Villa will play their next game at home against Arsenal, while West Ham United will face Fulham away.
