Liverpool defeat West Bromwich Albion 2-1 on Sunday at The Hawthorns. West Brom were looking to get back winning ways after losing their last game 3-1 to Arsenal whilst Liverpool were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-0 victory against Southampton. As things stand, West Brom are in 19th place, with 26 points from 36 matches, while Liverpool sit in 5th, with 63 points from 36.
It was an impressive opening from The Baggies, thanks to Hal Robson-Kanu giving West Brom the lead in the 15th minute. However, their lead was short lived, as Mohamed Salah equalised for Liverpool at the 33 minute mark to see out the first half 1-1.
The Reds continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Alisson just before the final whistle and seeing the game end 2-1.
For West Brom, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Jake Livermore and Karlan Ahearne-Grant, came on for Grady Diangana, Okay Yokuslu and Hal Robson-Kanu. Liverpool brought on Xherdan Shaqiri and Georginio Wijnaldum for Curtis Jones and Rhys Williams.
West Brom will play their next fixture at home against West Ham United, while Liverpool will face Burnley away.
