Tottenham Hotspur beat Watford with a thumping 1-0 victory on Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers away and Manchester City at home, by 1-0 and 1-0 respectively. Watford lost 2-0 in the last match they played against Brighton & Hove Albion. As things stand, Spurs are currently 1st with 9 points from 3 matches, while Watford sit in 12th, with 3 points from 3.

The Lilywhites started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Heung Min Son finding the net just before half-time Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

For Spurs, Lucas Moura and Bryan Salvatierra, came on for Steven Bergwijn and Heung Min Son. Watford brought on Jeremy Ngakia, Cucho Hernandez and Tom Cleverley, to replace Craig Cathcart, Joshua King and Moussa Sissoko.

There were bookings for Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Oliver Skipp from Spurs, and Oghenekaro Etebo, Moussa Sissoko and Emmanuel Dennis, for Watford.

Spurs will play their next fixture away against Crystal Palace, while Watford will face Wolverhampton Wanderers at home.
