Sheffield United dominated the first half, beginning with Kean Bryan opening the scoring in the 23rd minute and managed to see out the first half 1-0.
Manchester United took the initiative in the second half, thanks to Harry Maguire opening the scoring in the 64th minute. Sheffield United took the lead thanks to a goal from Oliver Burke after 74 minutes to establish the 2-1, which sealed the victory for the visitors.
Both teams used all their substitutes. For Manchester United Edinson Cavani, Luke Shaw and Donny van de Beek came on for Mason Greenwood, Alex Telles and Axel Tuanzebe, while Sheffield brought on Jayden Bogle, Oliver Burke and Rhian Brewster to replace Kean Bryan, Billy Sharp and David McGoldrick.
