Manchester United snatched all three points from Newcastle United in a 4-1 victory on Saturday, at Old Trafford. Man U were looking to pick up points, following a 1-0 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Newcastle, on the other hand, are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. After today’s result, Man U are in 1st place on the table and has 10 points while Newcastle sit in 19th with 1 point after 4 matches.

Newcastle took the initiative in the second half, with Javi Manquillo finding the net, at 56 minutes. However, each side looked hungry to win and Man U then found the back of the net, at 62 minutes thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo, taking the score to 2-1. Man U looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Bruno Fernandes, 80 minutes in to establish a 3-1. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Jesse Lingard just before the final whistle to make it 4-1.
Both coaches used the full entitlement. For Man U, Jesse Lingard, Donny Van De Beek and Anthony Martial, came on for Jadon Sancho, Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood, Newcastle brought on Jacob Murphy, Jamal Lewis and Jeff Hendrick to replace Javi Manquillo, Ciaran Clark and Joseph Willock.
The referee booked Paul Pogba for Man U.
Man U will next travel to West Ham United, while Newcastle will face Leeds United at home.
