Aston Villa’s 1-0 win over Manchester United on Saturday, was hard fought at Old Trafford. Both Man U and Villa arrived on the back of wins. Man U were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games against West Ham United away and Newcastle United at home, by 2-1 and 4-1 respectively. Villa were coming off the back of a 3-0 win against Everton. At the moment, Man U are in 4th place on the table and has 13 points while Villa sit in 7th with 10 points after 6 matches.

After an un-eventful first half, Villa continued to apply pressure in the second, with Kortney Hause giving The Villa the lead just before the final whistle. The game ended 1-0.

For Man U, Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof and Edinson Cavani, came on for Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and Scott Mctominay. Villa replaced Emiliano Buendia and Cameron Archer with Danny Ings and Jacob Ramsey.

There were bookings for Luke Shaw and Fred from Man U, and John McGinn and Matty Cash, for Villa.

Man U will next play Everton at home, with Villa facing Tottenham Hotspur away.
