Manchester City vs. Arsenal

Arsenal on away loss to Man City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. Man City were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run, following a 5-0 victory against Norwich City. Arsenal had lost their previous match against Chelsea. After today’s result, Man City are in 1st place, with 6 points from 3 matches, while Arsenal sit in 20th, with 0 points from 3.

Cityzens found the net first, with Ilkay Gundogan opening the rout early in the first half. Man City looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Ferran Torres in the 12th minute to establish a 2-0. Man City then netted again and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Gabriel Jesus just before half-time, which saw the first half end 3-0.

Cityzens fought back, with Rodri finding the net at the 53 minute mark. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a 2nd effort from Ferran Torres, 84 minutes in with a final score of 5-0.

As for substitutions, for Man City, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez, came on for Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal brought on Mohamed Elneny, Alexandre Lacazette and Ainsley Maitland-Niles to replace Bukayo Saka, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Martin Odegaard.

The referee booked Rodri from Man City. Arsenal had the worst of it though, with Cedric Soares and Sead Kolasinac seeing yellow, and Granit Xhaka then sent off with a red.

Man City will next travel to Leicester City, while Arsenal will face Norwich City at home.
