Everton on Sunday lost to Sheffield United on a home defeat at Goodison Park. Everton had been hopeful of continuing their run after winning last match. Sheffield U were beaten 2-0 in the previous match against Crystal Palace. After today’s result, Everton are in 8th place on the table and has 56 points while Sheffield U sit in 20th with 20 points after 36 matches.

The Blades started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to Daniel Jebbison giving Sheffield U the lead after only 7 minutes and seeing the first half out 0-1. The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For Everton, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Bernard and Andre Gomes, came on for Mason Holgate, James Rodriguez and Abdoulaye Doucoure.
