Palace 1 – Arsenal 3: The Gunners beat The Eagles at Selhurst Park

Arsenal beats Crystal Palace 3-1 on Wednesday at Selhurst Park. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Palace were looking to continue their run after winning last match. Arsenal were coming from consecutive wins against Chelsea and West Bromwich Albion. As the table looks today, Palace are in 13th place on the table and has 44 points while Arsenal sit in 9th with 58 points after 37 matches.

The Gunners started the first half well, thanks to a goal from Nicolas Pepe, 35 minutes in to take them into the break 0-1 up.

Palace took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Christian Benteke at the 62 minute mark. However, each side looked hungry to win and Arsenal then found the back of the net, 90 minutes in thanks to Gabriel Martinelli, taking the score to 2-1. However they weren’t finished yet and Nicolas Pepe made it 3-1 just before the final whistle with a final score of 3-1.

For Palace, Jordan Ayew and Jairo Riedewald, came on for Christian Benteke and James McCarthy. Arsenal brought on Martin Odegaard, Granit Xhaka and Gabriel Martinelli, to replace Bukayo Saka, Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey.

There were bookings for Jeffrey Schlupp and Christian Benteke from Palace, and Mohamed Elneny, for Arsenal.

Palace will next travel to Liverpool, while Arsenal will face Brighton & Hove Albion at home.
