Crystal Palace succumb to West Ham United with 3-2 defeat at Selhurst Park

West Ham enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Tuesday. Crystal Palace were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to Manchester City. West Ham United were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Burnley and Everton. As the table looks today, Crystal Palace are in 13th place on the table and has 23 points while West Ham United sit in 4th with 35 points after 20 matches.

Crystal Palace started the game well, beginning with early goal from Wilfried Zaha in the 3rd minute. However, their lead was short lived, as an equalizer from a goal from Tomas Soucek in the 9th minute brought West Ham United level. Later, West Ham United took the lead with a goal form a new goal from Tomas Soucek, scoring his second goal in the 25th minute, to take a 2-1 lead into half time.

West Ham United continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Craig Dawson in the 65th minute. Crystal Palace hit back thanks to a goal from Michy Batshuayi in the 90th minute just before the final whistle to establish the 3-2. The game ended with a 3-2 victory for West Ham United.

As for substitutions, for Crystal Palace, Michy Batshuayi, Jairo Riedewald and Jordan Ayew came on for Andros Townsend, Luka Milivojevic and Christian Benteke, while West Ham brought on Ryan Fredericks, Andriy Yarmolenko and Mark Noble to replace Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio and Said Benrahma.

Crystal Palace next face Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United are at home to Liverpool.
