Burnley on Monday lost to West Ham United on a home defeat at Turf Moor. Burnley were looking to continue their run after winning last match. The Hammers, on the other hand, were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against Chelsea. As the table looks today, Burnley are in 16th place on the table and has 36 points while The Hammers sit in 5th with 58 points after 34 matches.

The Clarets started the game well, with Chris Wood finding the net, 19 minutes in. However, their lead didn’t last for long, Michail Antonio producing an equaliser at the 21 minute mark, bringing The Hammers level. However they weren’t finished yet and Michail Antonio made it 2-1 at the 29 minute mark to see out the first half 1-2. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 2-1 at full time.

For Burnley, Jay Rodriguez, Johann Gudmundsson and Ashley Barnes, came on for Matej Vydra, Dwight McNeil and Chris Wood. The Hammers replaced Jarrod Bowen with Said Benrahma.

There were bookings for Ben Mee and Johann Gudmundsson from Burnley. For The Hammers, Craig Dawson saw yellow.

Burnley will next travel to Fulham, while The Hammers will face Everton at home.
