Burnley 1 – Leeds 1: Victory elusive at Turf Moor for both sides

Burnley were held to 1-1 draw by Leeds down on Sunday at Turf Moor. Burnley arrived at the game looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Liverpool. Leeds, on the other hand, are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As the table looks today, Burnley are in 16th place on the table and has 1 point while Leeds sit in 15th with 2 points after 3 matches.

Following a goalless first half, Burnley fought back the second half, thanks to a goal from Chris Wood in the 61st minute. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Patrick Bamford equalised for Leeds just before the final whistle and seeing the game end 1-1.

For Burnley, Aaron Lennon and Matej Vydra, came on for Johann Gudmundsson and Ashley Barnes. Leeds brought on Jamie Shackleton and Tyler Roberts, to replace Diego Llorente and Rodrigo Moreno.

There were bookings for Josh Brownhill, Ashley Barnes, Ben Mee and Aaron Lennon from Burnley. For Leeds, Kalvin Phillips, Rodrigo Moreno and Pascal Struijk saw yellow.

Burnley will next play Everton away, with Leeds facing Liverpool at home.
