Liverpool were defeated at home by Burnley at Anfield on Thursday. Burnley, on the other hand, were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against West Ham United. After today’s result, Liverpool are in 4th place on the table and has 34 points while Burnley sit in 16th with 19 points after 18 matches.
After a goalless first half, Burnley continued to apply pressure the second half and were rewarded, following a goal from Ashley Barnes in minute 83. They managed to see the game out with a clean sheet and a final score of 1-0.
