On Saturday, Brighton and The Hammers were held to a 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium. Both teams came from defeats in their previous league games. Brighton arrived at the game looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Hammers, on the other hand, were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against Everton. As it stands, Brighton are in 17th place on the table and has 38 points while The Hammers sit in 6th with 59 points after 36 matches.
After an un-eventful first half, Brighton fought back the second half, thanks to a goal from Danny Welbeck in the 84th minute. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Said Benrahma equalised for The Irons just before the final whistle. The final result, Brighton 1, The Hammers 1.
For Brighton, Adam Lallana, Percy Tau and Andi Zeqiri, came on for Steven Alzate, Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Leandro Trossard. The Hammers brought on Said Benrahma, to replace Jarrod Bowen.
The referee booked Yves Bissouma for Brighton.
Brighton will next play Manchester City at home, with The Hammers facing West Bromwich Albion away.
