Aston Villa defeat Everton 3-0 on Saturday at Villa Park. Villa were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to Chelsea. After today’s result, Villa and Everton currently occupy 10th and 5th spots in the table, with 7 points and 10 points respectively after 5 matches.

After an un-eventful first half, Villa piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Matty Cash in the 66th minute. The momentum was now with The Villa, who then scored again through a goal from Lucas Digne at the 69 minute mark to establish a 2-0. However they weren’t finished yet and Leon Bailey made it 3-0 at the 75 minute mark with a final score of 3-0.

For Villa, Marvelous Nakamba, Leon Bailey, Ashley Young and Bertrand Traore, came on for John McGinn, Matt Targett, Leon Bailey and Matty Cash. Everton brought on Andre Gomes, Anthony Gordon, Jonjoe Kenny and Tom Davies for Salomon Rondon, Allan, Ben Godfrey and Alex Iwobi.
