Arsenal were defeated at home by Liverpool at Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Arsenal wanted to continue adding points after a 3-3 draw against West Ham. Liverpool, on the other hand, were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against Chelsea. As the table looks today, Arsenal and Liverpool currently occupy 9th and 5th spots in the league, with 42 points and 49 points respectively after 30 matches.
After an un-eventful first half, Liverpool continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Diogo Jota finding the net at the 64 minute mark. The Reds looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Mohamed Salah in the 68th minute to establish a 2-0. However they weren’t finished yet and Diogo Jota made it 3-0, 82 minutes in to make it 3-0.
Both coaches used allfull available substitutions. For Arsenal, Cedric Soares, Mohamed Elneny and Gabriel Martinelli, came on for Kieran Tierney, Dani Ceballos and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Liverpool replaced Diogo Jota, Georginio Wijnaldum and Rhys Williams with Andrew Robertson, Roberto Firmino and Ozan Kabak.
There were bookings for Gabriel Magalhaes from Arsenal. For Liverpool, Diogo Jota saw yellow.
