Queens Park Rangers fell to a home defeat at the hands of Derby County at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday. Both sides arrived on the back of wins. Queens Park Rangers had been hopeful of continuing their run after winning their previous two matches against Cardiff City away and Luton Town away, by 1-0 and 2-0 respectively. Derby County, on the other hand, were able to continue their winning streak after a 1-0 win against Bournemouth in their last match. After today’s result, Queens Park Rangers are in 17th place, with 27 points from 26 matches, while Derby County sit in 21st, with 25 points from 26.
After an uneventful first half, Derby County continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, following a goal from Kazim, 56 minutes in, which sealed the victory for the visitors.
For Queens Park Rangers Faysal Bettache, Macauley Bonne, Albert Adomah and Charlie Kelman came on for Chris Willock, Lyndon Dykes, Niko Hamalainen and Charlie Austin, while Derby County brought on Max Bird, Martyn Waghorn and Kornell Mark Marshall Winston McDonald to replace George Evans, Kazim and Kamil Jozwiak.
