Nottingham snatched all three points from Blackburn Rovers in a narrow 1-0 victory on Saturday, at the City Ground. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Nottingham Forest were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to Swansea City. Blackburn Rovers lost 2-1 in the last match they played against Barnsley. As it stands, Nottingham Forest are in 17th place on the table and has 36 points while Blackburn Rovers sit in 12th with 39 points after 31 matches.

Nottingham Forest started the game well, following Alexander Mighten opening the scoring, 26 minutes in. The score at half time was 1-0. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 1-0 at full time.

For Nottingham, Lyle Taylor, Ryan Yates, Luke Freeman and Tyler Blackett came on for Sam Gallagher, Ben Brereton, Lewis Travis, Jacob Davenport and Ryan Nyambe, while Blackburn Rovers replaced Bradley Dack, Tyrhys Dolan, Joe Rothwell, John Buckley and Elliott Bennett with Sam Gallagher, Ben Brereton, Lewis Travis, Jacob Davenport and Ryan Nyambe.

There were bookings for Glenn Murray and James Garner from Nottingham and Taylor Harwood-Bellis for Blackburn Rovers.

Nottingham Forest will next travel to Rotherham United, while Blackburn Rovers will face Watford at home.
