Vancouver Whitecaps strolled past Minnesota United with a 2-1 win on Thursday at BC Place Stadium. As the table looks today, Caps and Minnesota currently occupy 5th and 8th spots in the table, with 47 points and 45 points respectively after 43 matches.
The Village started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to Boxall finding the net just before half-time
Caps continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Brian White finding the net, at 64 minutes. In the end though, Minnesota just before the final whistle hit back though via a Adi goal. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 2-1 to Caps.
For Caps, Caicedo, Bikel, Gutiérrez, Godoy and Cavallini, came on for Dájome, Owusu, Bruno Gaspar, Brown and Brian White. Minnesota brought on Rosales, Adi, Gregus and Finlay, to replace Alonso, Hunou, Trapp and Lod.
There were bookings for Jungwirth and Brown from Caps. For Minnesota, Dotson and Reynoso saw yellow.
