New England Revolution snatched all three points from Toronto FC in a 2-1 victory on Sunday, at BMO Field. After today’s result, Phili and Revs sit 13th, (15 points) and 1st, (43 points), in the table respectively, after 25 matches.
Revs started strongly in the first half, with Buchanan finding the net in the 20th minute, to take a 0-1 lead into half time.
Phili took the lead in the second half, thanks to a goal from Osorio at the 80 minute mark. Revs in turn, then responded at the 83 minute mark increasing their lead with an effort from Bou and seeing the game end 2-1.
For Phili, Mullins, Bradley and Deleon, came on for Achara, Priso-Mbongue and Osorio. Revs brought on Mcnamara, Bunbury, De La Garza and Kaptoum, to replace Polster, Traustason, Buchanan and Maciel.
There were bookings for Delgado from Phili. For Revs, Bye saw yellow.
Phili will play their next fixture away against Atlanta United, while Revs will face D.C. United at home.
