Phili 1 – MON 1- Honours even and points shared at BMO Field

On Sunday, Phili and MON were held to a 1-1 draw at BMO Field. After today’s result, Phili are in 13th place, with 26 points from 41 matches, while MON sit in 8th, with 43 points from 41.

After an un-eventful first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on MON who started the second half well, thanks to a goal from Ibrahim in the 55th minute. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Altidore equalised for Phili just before the final whistle. The final result, Phili 1, MON 1.

For Phili, Pozuelo, Altidore and Nelson, came on for Mullins, Marshall-Ruty and Shaffelburg. MON brought on Ahmed Hamdi, Miljevic, Bassong and Johnsen, to replace Maciel, Ibrahim, Brault-Guillard and Torres.

There were bookings for Mullins, Okello, Osorio and Shaffelburg from Phili, and Piette, for MON.
