Phili 0 – Atlanta 2: Visitors at BMO Field secure victory

Phili on home loss to Atlanta United at BMO Field on Sunday. Following today’s result, Phili and Atlanta currently occupy 13th and 5th spots in the table, with 25 points and 42 points respectively after 39 matches.

Atlanta started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Luiz Araujo finding the net just before half-time. The score at half time was 0-1.

Atlanta continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Moreno just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 2-0.

Phili brought on Marshall-Ruty, Pozuelo and Altidore for Achara, Marshall-Ruty and Shaffelburg. Atlanta brought on Franco Ibarra, Amar Sejdic and Torres, to replace Luiz Araujo, Rossetto and Moreno.

The referee booked from Phili Achara and Delgado and from Atlanta Rossetto and Walkes. Both teams also had a sending off, with Auro for Phili and Barco for Atlanta.

Phili will next travel to Inter Miami, while Atlanta will face New York at home.
