On Thursday, Kansas and San Jose were held to a 1-1 draw at Children’s Mercy Park. As the table looks today, Kansas and San Jose sit 2nd, (27 points) and 11th, (13 points), spots respectively, after 19 matches.
After a goalless first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on Quakes who started the second half well, with Nathan Pelae finding the net at the 53 minute mark. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Salloi equalised for Wizards just before the final whistle. The game ended wih a 1-1 draw.
Both coaches used all available substitutions. For Kansas, Lindsey, Espinoza and Shelton, came on for Walter, Kinda and Harris, San Jose brought on Abecasis, Rios and Fierro, to replace López, Wondolowski and Chofis Lopez.
The referee booked Lindsey and Zusi from Kansas. San Jose had the worst of it though, with Chofis Lopez, Judson, Espinoza and Nathan Pelae seeing yellow, and Judson (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.
