Sporting Kansas City 0-1 Real Salt Lake: Claret and Cobalt Claim Valuable Away Win

Real Salt Lake beats Sporting Kansas City 1-0 on Monday at Children’s Mercy Park. Following the final whistle at the end of the last game of the Major League Soccer season, Kansas and RSL sit 3rd (58 points) and 7th (48 points) in the league respectively, after a total of 46 matches.

After a goalless first half, Claret and Cobalt continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Kreilach giving RSL the lead just before the final whistle and seeing the game end 1-0.

For Kansas, Ilie and Duke, came on for Mauri and Barber. RSL brought on Julio, Wood and Meram for Méndez, Menéndez and Ruiz.

There were bookings for Espinoza from Kansas. For RSL, Everton and Herrera saw yellow.
