Kansas 1 – Portland 1: Wizards locked into a draw at home to The Timbers

Kansas were held to 1-1 draw by Portland down on Thursday at Children’s Mercy Park. As the table looks today, Kansas and Portland currently occupy 2nd and 7th spots in the league, with 38 points and 24 points respectively after 27 matches.

The Timbers started the first half well, with Mora giving Portland the lead, at 18 minutes, seeing out the first half 0-1.

Kansas took the lead in the second half, thanks to Salloi finding the net just before the final whistle. The game ended wih a 1-1 draw.

Both managers used all substitutions. For Kansas, Shelton, came on for Espinoza, Portland brought on Chará, Bonilla, Blanco, Fochive and Valeri to replace Asprilla, Van Rankin, Mora, Loria and Zambrano.

There were bookings for Salloi and Pulido from Kansas, and Chará, Van Rankin, Bonilla and Valeri, for Portland.
