Sporting Kansas City on a 4-0 win against Minnesota United on Thursday at Children’s Mercy Park. As the table looks today, Kansas are currently 1st with 46 points from 33 matches, while Minnesota sit in 7th, with 31 points from 33.
Kansas started the first half well, with Shelton opening the rout at the 14 minute mark. The momentum was now with Wizards, who then scored again through a goal from Salloi, 36 minutes in to establish a 2-0. Kansas then scored once more and increased their advantage thanks to a penalty goal from Russell just before half-time, which saw the first half end 3-0.
Kansas started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with a goal from Duke at the 52 minute mark and seeing the game end 4-0.
For Kansas, Barber, Harris and Davis, came on for Salloi, Shelton and Espinoza. Minnesota replaced Rosales, Raitala, Kallman and Lod with Hayes, j, Fragapane and Adi.
The referee booked Fragapane for Minnesota.
