Kansas 2 – Galaxy 0: Wizards see off visitors at Children’s Mercy Park

Sporting Kansas City beat LA Galaxy with a thumping 2-0 victory on Thursday at Children’s Mercy Park. Following today’s result, Kansas and Galaxy currently occupy 1st and 6th spots in the league, with 58 points and 46 points respectively after 43 matches.

Kansas started the game well, thanks to Russell finding the net just before half-time

Wizards continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Russell finding the net again at the 82 minute mark, leaving the final score at 2-0.

For Kansas, Duke and Barber, came on for Espinoza and Russell. Galaxy brought on Cabral, Fisher, Klještan, Zubak and Alvarez, to replace Víctor Vázquez, Grandsir, Lletget, Hamalainen and Joveljic.

The referee booked Isimat-Mirin for Kansas.
